First Merchants Bank is seeking an AML/CFT Analyst to join our team in Columbus, OH. This role provides clerical and analytical support for the AML/CFT program, performing data validation, monitoring alerts, and helping with customer due diligence.

The successful candidate will have at least two years of relevant banking experience, a high school diploma or GED, and ideally a bachelor’s degree. We offer benefits including health insurance, 401k, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.

Responsibilities

• Execute AML/CFT monitoring tasks and validation of data feeds into BAM.
• Process alerts from AML monitoring system and other sources.
• Perform periodic reviews of higher risk customers.
• Execute 314a scan procedures.
• Perform OFAC scans and manage results.
• Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).
• Assist with monitoring procedures and investigations as needed.
• Assist with basic analysis and investigations.

Job description

First Merchants Bank is seeking an AML/CFT Analyst to join our team! This position will provide clerical and analytical support for the execution of the Anti-Money Laundering, Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Execute daily tasks related to the Anti-Money Laundering/Countering the Financing of Terrorism monitoring program, including but not limited to, the validation procedures for the transactions data and monetary instruments feed into BAM; enter wire transfer data into BAM.
2. Execute program assignments including review and process alerts generated from the AML transaction monitoring system or by other means.
3. Execute periodic higher risk customer reviews.
4. Execute 314a scan procedure.
5. Execute Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) scan procedures and manage OFAC scan results received from the line-of-business.
6. Execute Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) monitoring procedures.
7. Assist with monitoring procedures or investigation as needed.
8. Assist with or perform simple, basic analysis and investigation.

To be successful in this position, we require the following:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• A minimum of two (2) years of retail, operations, or compliance bank functions experience.

The following would be a plus

• Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field.
