Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP in Carlsbad, New Mexico, is seeking a Board Operator for an amine treating facility. The role involves operating electronic, computerized, or manual control systems and monitoring process variables to maintain purity and operating efficiency.

The candidate will perform routine instrument checks, read gauges, record readings, and ensure compliance with Process Safety Management and environmental permits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Must pass drug test and background check.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior Board Operator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides constant monitoring of instrument control panel and adjusts controls to regulate process variables such as pressures, flow rates, and temperatures.
• Oversees, reads, and maintains equipment controlling temperature and flow of product.
• Monitors gauges, inspects product, troubleshoots as needed, and handles routine maintenance.
• Records data from equipment readings.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of Gas Plant Operator duties and adheres to PSM and permit requirements.
