Job summary

Community Montessori School seeks a warm, professional Children’s House Guide to lead a Montessori classroom for ages 3–6. You will prepare and maintain an engaging environment, guide development, plan lessons, and collaborate with families and staff to support student growth.

The role emphasizes authentic Montessori practice, respectful relationships, and academic rigor within a collaborative school community. On-site, full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• AMI Montessori Primary Diploma or AMS Early Childhood Credential.
• Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and child development.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and basic technology tools.
• Ability to meet all applicable background check and regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, child development, or related field (preferred).
• Experience using Transparent Classroom or similar student documentation systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a Montessori classroom environment aligned with Montessori principles and school expectations.
• Guide students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate Montessori lessons and classroom activities.
• Maintain accurate student records and classroom documentation.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with classroom support staff and school leadership to ensure classroom consistency and student success.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development.
