Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a qualified Business Analyst III to join a large utilities company in Houston, Texas. The role focuses on AMI transformation, forecasting, reporting, and BI initiatives using meter data to drive inventory planning and deployment readiness.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of BA experience, strong SAP/Power BI/SQL/BigQuery skills, and a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, operational analytics, forecasting, or related disciplines.
• Experience with large datasets, work order systems, and operational reporting environments.
• Proficiency with SAP, Power BI, SQL, Google BigQuery, Excel, and related tools.
• Experience in forecasting methodologies, KPI development, and process improvement; utility/supply chain experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze work order and field activity data to identify trends, forecast demand, and support inventory readiness.
• Develop quarterly and annual demand forecasts, dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, Field Services, and Program Leadership to improve performance.
• Monitor smart meter telemetry and other operational data to identify anomalies and root causes.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights and drive reporting standards and analytics capabilities.
