Job summary

Ferguson is seeking an AMI/AMR Project Manager to lead municipal water meter projects, oversee subcontractors, and coordinate on-site visits. The role is remote with up to 50% travel, primarily serving the Southwest market; ideal candidates live in the Southern California region, or in AZ/NV/CO/NM/TX/UT.

The position requires strong PM experience, PMP or MBA/Engineering preferred, and proficiency with MS Office and Excel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience.
• 5+ years of industry and product knowledge.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Lead and empower individuals and teams.
• Proficient in computing devices and Microsoft Office.
• Advanced knowledge in Excel.
• PMP certification preferred.
• MBA or Engineering degree preferred.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of a project from start to finish within time and budget.
• Recommend products and services aligning with client needs.
• Execute projects per established plan and PM methodologies.
• Maintain strong sales relationships with major accounts.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely on-time delivery.
• Oversee progress, resolve issues, and minimize delays.
• Determine project scope, specs, requirements, and perform calculations.
• Conduct project meetings and prepare status reports for stakeholders.
• Allocate resources and assign tasks to achieve targets.
• Provide high-level support to PMs to ensure plan adherence.
