Southern California Edison’s Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) 2.0 Program is a transformational initiative that is modernizing the company’s metering, communications, and data capabilities to support the evolving energy landscape. This enterprise-wide program will replace and support more than5.7 million metersacross SCE’s service territory while advancing the technology and systems that power a smarter, more connected grid.
AMI 2.0 brings together professionals across engineering, technology, operations, cybersecurity, customer service, and program management to deliver innovative solutions that enhance grid reliability, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen the customer experience. The AMI 2.0 Business ProcessDesign(BPD),Advisor willleverageconsultingteams and/or independentlydevelop “future state” business processes and capture associated business requirementswithstakeholder input andfacilitateon time review and approval of these critical program artifacts.Assignmentsmayincludeidentifyingimprovement opportunities forcriticalexisting processes (e.g.billing, outage management) and/ordefiningunprecedented, advancedcapabilities (e.g.proactiveasset replacement,DERorchestrationforgrid capacityutilization).The AMI 2.0 Business Process Design (BPD), Advisorwillfacilitatenegotiation of potential process/requirement changes asAMI 2.0 technology is assessed andintegrated,andintegrated andwillbe responsible formaintainingtraceable requirements through such changes.
