State of Georgia is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor for the Adult Mental Health (AMH) Program at Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta in Decatur, GA. You will conduct assessments and provide individual and group counseling to adults with co-occurring disorders in an inpatient setting.

The role requires a Master\'s degree in counseling or a related field (or equivalent experience) and professional certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master\'s degree in counseling or closely related field; 4 years of job-related experience, or 1 year at lower Behavioral Health Counselor level.
• Bachelor\'s degree in counseling or related field with four years of experience may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Conduct substance use assessments using clinical interviews and evidence-based measures.
• Provide individual and group counseling on AMH units.
• Collaborate with inpatient recovery planning teams and community resources.
• Provide coverage for Mall instructors and operations as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of client records.
• Prepare and maintain treatment records and reports.
