Position Summary

Assist the store manager in growing revenues and profitability, ensuring compliance with company policies. Support store coverage needs and perform tasks to meet store goals as directed by the Regional or Store Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in overall store operations, including opening and closing the store in the manager’s absence.
  • Merchandise products, organize showroom and warehouse for safety and efficiency.
  • Report inventory discrepancies or customer issues to the store manager.
  • Support store coverage at other regional locations as needed.
  • Maintain positive relationships with existing customers and develop new business with interior finishing contractors.
  • Promote revenue growth through marketing and sales of Ames tools and products.
  • Perform daily functions such as greeting customers, processing transactions, customer service, inventory audits, collections, housekeeping, and record keeping.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and maintaining tools and merchandise.
  • Collaborate with Field Specialists to identify training opportunities and lead prospects.
  • Demonstrate and present Ames tools and products effectively.
  • Support sales and marketing programs, maintain rental tools, and assist with customer events.
  • Complete shop reports, expense reports, and other documentation timely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two to four years of related experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Valid driver’s license required; forklift certification may be required after hire.
Other Qualifications
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Regular use of hands, standing, walking, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
