Job summary

Northwest Youth Corps seeks Community Wildfire Protection Crew (CWPC) Members to work in Eastern Oregon, focusing on building fire-resilient communities. This immersive program includes formal training and hands-on experience in firefighting and woodland conservation.

Crew members must partake in physically demanding tasks, live in close quarters, and participate in educational discussions. The program requires a positive attitude, commitment, and teamwork to succeed in a structured outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be between 19-26 years old (at enrollment).
• Current First Aid/CPR certification is required before participation.
• Desire to learn, grow, and positively impact the community.

• Complete assigned projects under the direction of the Crew Leader.
• Create a Participant Success Plan for self-improvement.
