The Team

What You Will Be Doing:
Sales Support
  • Engage with top opportunities or beachhead accounts, whether enterprise or commercial-based customers.
  • Collaborate proactively with account teams during various sales cycle stages, providing expertise and acting as the "go-to" technical resource.
  • Coordinate with sales, presales, services leadership, partner managers, and account teams to prioritize high-value opportunities.
  • Communicate and commit to internal technology and solutions roadmaps and NDAs to foster innovation discussions.
Solution Development and Presentation
  • Work with account SC and partner's SE to develop technical responses to RFPs, customer presentations, and solutions design.
  • Provide technical expertise for presales solution development, demonstrations, PoC, and CoE use.
  • Support broader technical and business architecture, including business case development and value demonstration.
  • Contribute to competitive analysis, leveraging hands-on experience and knowledge of solutions.
  • Recognize competitors' technological advantages and articulate Hitachi Vantara's positioning.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive solutions and formulate responses to claims.
  • Identify when to collaborate or compete with other providers, developing win strategies.
  • Develop and present customer-facing technical materials, demonstrating business outcomes.
  • Establish recognition as a subject matter expert and mentor within the team and community.
Relationship Building and Nurturing
  • Build trust and confidence with clients, internal teams, and partners.
  • Engage with higher-level stakeholders, including CxO levels.
  • Strengthen relationships with account teams, customers, and partners.
  • Assist in removing technical and competitive hurdles during sales.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing design recommendations.
  • Recommend suitable partner resources for opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively about business problems and solutions.
  • Build relationships with peers and support scoping exercises.
Personal and Organizational Development
  • Pursue advanced knowledge in your area of specialization.
  • Design and deliver demos, PoC, or PoV for customers.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, solutions, and industry trends.
  • Develop knowledge of outside areas like Data Management, Virtualization, etc.
  • Understand major competitive products and features.
  • Exercise independent judgment within policies to achieve objectives.
  • Maintain a network of influencers and develop technical, professional, and sales skills.
  • Explore certifications to enhance your role's value.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of technical presales experience in the same industry.
  • Strong relationship, leadership, communication, and technical skills.
  • Deep technical consulting skills within a primary domain.
  • Recognized subject matter expert with in-depth industry knowledge.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Strong negotiation skills and leadership in technical sales.

Expected compensation: $150K to $180K base salary, with eligibility for bonus and incentive programs, depending on experience and performance.
