Compensation Range: $62,700 - $85,000

Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated senior accountant to perform and support regional accounting duties within our organization. The primary responsibility is to assist with the Americas Region consolidation process during monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes. The role involves working closely with the corporate team, Americas accounting/finance group, and global counterparts to ensure the accuracy of source systems (ERPs) and HFM reflecting the company's activities and performance. Responsibilities also include preparing and reviewing reporting schedules and participating in ad hoc accounting projects requiring consolidation and technical expertise.

To succeed, the senior accountant must own various processes and reports, possess a solid understanding of GAAP to strengthen governance, risk, and controls, and demonstrate excellent Excel skills. The candidate should be process-oriented, highly organized, able to work independently, and perform well under pressure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations within BaaN, SAP, and HFM.
  2. Oversee corporate and regional fee processes.
  3. Ensure ERPs and the Global Consolidation System (HFM) accurately reflect regional activities.
  4. Communicate and coordinate with plant accountants, segment leads, department heads, and third-party providers for analysis, forecasts, journals, and reconciliations.
  5. Prepare analyses on high-priority accounts, quarter/year-end packages, and audit requests.
  6. Monitor compliance with GAAP and company procedures.
  7. Identify control weaknesses and suggest process improvements.
  8. Create and update detailed process documentation and work instructions.
  9. Exercise discretion and judgment on confidential matters.
  10. Handle ad hoc requests as assigned.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel to the corporate office is required for quarter-end close.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • CPA preferred.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting, preferably in a manufacturing and multi-entity environment.
  • Experience in external audit with Big 4 or mid-tier firms preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Effective in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly.
  • Familiarity with financial statements.
  • Self-motivated team player.
  • Process improvement recommendations.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Excel, intermediate or advanced skills.
  • Knowledge of intercompany transactions is a plus.
