What You’ll Do

  • Support Deutsche Bank in protecting against legal, regulatory, and reputational risks related to sanctioned entities and countries by investigating payment messages escalated from Regulatory Filtering Operations to US Sanctions Compliance for potential violations.
  • Apply OFAC and EU regulations and Deutsche Bank policies to payment messages, and coordinate significant issues requiring escalation within the bank's compliance teams.
  • Monitor regional regulatory developments and assist in addressing significant events impacting Deutsche Bank.
  • Interface with client service officers on transaction requests, ensuring full compliance with sanctions regulations and bank policies.
  • Identify and escalate issues beyond current policies, draft solutions, maintain internal watch lists, and assist in record-keeping.
  • Support sanctions-related reporting obligations, assist in information collection for law enforcement or regulatory inquiries, and provide guidance on sanctions laws/regulations.
  • Report risks and incidents to the Head of Sanctions Compliance.

Skills You’ll Need

  • BA/BS required; JD/Masters preferred
  • Experience in AML or Sanctions Compliance in a global financial institution, including Transaction Monitoring, Name List Screening, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. economic sanctions regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to prioritize, deliver timely results, and manage multiple projects under pressure

Expectations

Employees are expected to work in the Jacksonville office under the hybrid model. Deutsche Bank provides reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities or religious needs. The salary range in New York is $65,000 to $97,500, based on experience and qualifications.
