Job summary

Fusion Academy in Plano, TX seeks an American Sign Language Teacher for 1-to-1 instruction across grades 4–12. You’ll design lessons, tailor instruction, and collaborate with a passionate team to personalize education academically, socially, and emotionally.

The role emphasizes ASL through high school levels, mentoring, and ongoing professional development. A bachelor’s degree is required; credentials are a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required for consideration.
• Advanced knowledge of Deaf / Hard of Hearing Studies, culture, and awareness.
• Solid subject matter knowledge in MS ASL through ASL 4 (grades 6–12).
• Teaching credentials are a plus but not mandatory.
• Experience with students with learning differences and ADHD is a plus.
• Candidates should be passionate, organized, and able to work in a diverse school setting.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

• As aTeacher provide a one-to-one teaching experience in the areas of MS ASL- through ASL 5.

• Differentiate and personalize academic instruction and support social and emotional development in students ranging from 4th - 12th grades.

• Maintain complete andaccuratestudent and teacher records.

• Develop andmaintaingenuine, positive, and consistent parent teacher communication.

• Support and benefit from a diverse and inclusive campus community.

• Practice professionalism through ongoing professional development, reflection, and continuous improvement.

• In addition to subject matter tutoring and teaching, this position includes significant student mentoring.

• Other duties as assigned. (i.e.Tutor part-time students)

WhatWe’reLooking For:
