Job summary

Ampersand Therapy LLC is seeking a full-time American Sign Language Interpreter for a school setting in Hinesville, GA. You will provide real-time ASL interpretation to support deaf and hard-of-hearing students and ensure equal access to instruction.

You will collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support IEP goals, while maintaining FERPA compliance and student confidentiality. W-2 with benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Certification or licensure as an interpreter (e.g., RID) required/provided.
• Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language and Deaf culture knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide sign language interpreting services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in classroom settings and school activities.
• Interpret spoken language into ASL and ASL into spoken English in real time.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement IEPs and support student success.
• Maintain confidentiality per FERPA and district policies.
• Attend meetings and trainings as required.
