Job summary

Viakorp Corporation is seeking qualified American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters to provide professional services for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers personnel on an as-needed basis. This role is part-time and requires availability at USACE locations in Fargo, ND and St.

Paul, MN, with additional field locations possible. Qualified candidates must hold NIC or RID certification, have at least 3 years of interpreting experience, and demonstrate strong ASL and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional interpreting experience.
• Proficient in ASL and able to communicate clearly in English.
• Maintains confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Willing to travel to USACE locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate ASL interpretation for meetings, trainings, briefings, and workplace activities.
• Facilitate communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing employees and hearing personnel.
• Provide interpreting support at USACE offices and approved field locations.
• Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality.
• Coordinate availability for scheduled interpreting assignments.

Schedule:

Part-time / as-needed. Services are generally performed Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM at USACE locations in Fargo, ND and St. Paul, MN. Additional field locations may be required.
