Job summary

American Heritage Barn Preservation is seeking a construction carpenter with 2+ years of experience in wood-related work. You will prepare sites, load materials, and operate tools and equipment as directed by supervisors. The role requires travel to multiple job sites across the state, including out-of-town assignments where lodging is provided.

Applicants should be physically fit and willing to learn. A high school diploma or equivalent is required and two job references are preferred.

American Heritage Barn Preservation is family-owned business looking for hard-working, experienced, wood craftsman with a reliable work ethic to join our team. You will be working on a variety of projects in different locations and following instructions from job supervisors. Although experience with barn repairs is not essential, you will have to be physically fit and a fast learner.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Preparing construction sites, materials and tools
• Loading and unloading materials, tools and equipment
• Operate heavy equipment such as skid steer, excavator, and man-lift
• Operate hand tools, climb ladders
• Travel around the state to job sites
• Work out of town

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to learn is necessary
• Be healthy, strong and fit
• 2+ years’ work experience in construction/wood working related field
• Minimum of two job references needed
