The Team

The American Girl Retail team provides memorable experiences through experiential retail stores offering services like Girl and Doll Salons, full-service restaurants, and more. Our role is dynamic and fast-paced, impacting both team and customer experiences.

The Opportunity

The Server at our Chicago location reports to the Restaurant Manager and is responsible for delivering food and beverages while ensuring an outstanding dining experience.

Responsibilities

1. Greet customers and inform them of menu options and store events.
2. Know menu items and ingredients; assist guests with food allergies.
3. Address customer concerns professionally and promptly.
4. Efficiently execute all food and beverage service tasks, including upselling and table maintenance.
5. Follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
6. Support a positive work environment and assist with store events and projects.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of high-volume or fine dining experience preferred.
• Experience with banquet or catering is a plus.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Proficiency with restaurant computer systems preferred.
• Physical ability to carry trays and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation

Base hourly rate is $11 plus tips.
