The Team: The American Girl Retail team is dedicated to creating lifetime memories for fans and their families. Our experiential retail stores offer unique shopping experiences, including Girl and Doll Salons, Full-Service Restaurants, Personal Shopping, Ear Piercing (Girl and Doll), and Parties/Celebrations. This role is dynamic and fast-paced, allowing you to impact both the team and our customers.

The Opportunity: The Merchandise Handler Lead, based at the AG Los Angeles Retail Flagship, reports directly to the Merchandising Operations Manager. This role involves assisting in managing back-of-house operations and providing leadership to the department team.

What Your Impact Will Be:

• Monitor and supervise merchandise placement on the sales floor and in the stockroom, adhering to visual, safety, and efficiency standards.
• Supervise and verify incoming and outgoing trailers and manifests.
• Lead in the absence of the Assistant Operations Manager; troubleshoot as needed.
• Foster a team environment; coach and motivate team members; delegate tasks; develop skills; provide constructive feedback.
• Communicate concerns and store information effectively to team members and management.
• Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining store's PC and POS systems.
• Perform additional duties such as ordering supplies and staff scheduling as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

• 6 months to 2 years of experience in merchandise handling, inventory, or related fields preferred.
• Experience with IT and POS troubleshooting preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Hourly Rate: The base hourly rate ranges from $19 to $22.80, depending on location, skills, and experience. Mattel offers competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.
