Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Capacity Design Engineering Manager for the AMER region to lead a team responsible for basket tray capacity assessment, augmentation design, and forward demand planning across AWS data centers.

You will collaborate with engineering, networking, and infrastructure teams to ensure capacity ahead of demand, drive tooling adoption, establish regional standards, and mentor engineers while traveling up to 30%.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of management experience.
• 5+ years of data center or network capacity planning, data center or network infrastructure program/project management, or related technical experience.
• Experience managing and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience using analysis, reporting, modeling, and forecasting to gather data for business decisions.
• +5 years experience with basket tray systems, cable pathway design, or structured cabling infrastructure in mission-critical environments.

Aufgaben

• Lead a team of Capacity Design Engineers delivering basket tray assessments and augmentation designs.
• Own the AMER CDE demand pipeline: track volume, utilization, and forward capacity needs.
• Partner with Site Turndown, DC Refresh, Site Read Model, and Network Fabric teams to anticipate needs.
• Drive adoption of CDE tooling and close gaps between field data and planning systems.
• Define and maintain CDE SOPs, audit standards, and quality criteria for AMER.
• Champion basket tray capacity as a proactive input feeding CapEx forecasting.
• Manage and develop a team of engineers, including hiring and career development.
• Coordinate with CPI and FRE to scope and fund augmentation projects.
• Travel 30%+ to conduct site reviews and coordinate with vendors and field teams.
