Job summary

Leidos Defense is seeking an Integration and Test Engineer to join the Systems Integration and Test Team. You will work with customers and contractors to develop and execute test plans, build HWIL platforms, analyze data, and report on results across defense systems and sensors.

The role requires hands-on experience in hardware/software integration, knowledge of test practices, and ability to travel for test events, with US Citizenship and a secret clearance as prerequisites.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in a relevant engineering field with 4+ years experience.
• US Citizenship and active secret clearance.
• Experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans.
• Hands-on experience with hardware, software, or system integration and testing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and travel ~4 weeks/year.

Leidos Defense, Systems Integration and Test Team, is seeking an Integration and Test Engineer. We are a diverse team that works to implement unique solutions for complex problems in the defense sector, including but not limited to kinetic and directed energy defensive and offensive platforms as well as RADAR and other surveillance and sensor technologies. Our team works across multiple business sectors, with industry partners, and directly with the customer. Primary Responsibilities

• Working directly with the customer and contractors to execute program requirements.
• Creating, modifying, and using Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) test platforms to satisfy testing requirements.
• Performing test data analysis via data log parser, Wireshark, and/or software debug tools.
• Debugging software and/or hardware with various tools.
• Creating, modifying, and executing test plans and procedures to satisfy program requirements.
• Completing requirements verification and validation documentation and reports.
• Briefing both internal and external parties on test results and data.

Basic Qualifications

• ABET accredited BS degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or relevant field with 4+ years of prior experience or Masters in relevant field with 2+ years of prior experience.
• Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with defense or commercial test engineering practices and processes.
• Candidates must have experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans and procedures.
• Candidates must have direct, hands‑on experience with hardware, software, or system integration, troubleshooting and testing.
• The position may require working outside in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• The position may require minimal travel for test events (approximately 4 weeks a year).
• US Citizenship is required and active secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with hardware and software integration, test planning, and execution.
• Working knowledge and operation of electronic test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, voltmeter, signal analyzer/generator, 1553 Bus Analyzer)
• Working knowledge of software languages Python, C, C++, C# and or firmware languages for Xilinx or Altera devices
• Experience with Linux, Matlab, Labview, and WireShark
• Experience preparing and presenting briefings and/or demonstrations to customers and management
• Planning and executing demonstration tests and US Gov't test ranges/facilities

Pay Range:

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
