Job Description

We are looking to hire an experienced AMC (Australian Mathematics Competition) Test Prep Tutor responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to enhance students' mathematical proficiency in preparation for their AMC exams. The tutor will cover AMC 8, AMC 10, and AMC 12, creating engaging and innovative lessons to develop students’ critical thinking, test-taking skills, confidence, and problem-solving abilities. This is a flexible, part-time position aimed at passionate Math instructors eager to make a positive impact.

Job Duties:
  • Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions focused on AMC preparation.
  • Develop customized lesson plans and materials tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Help students understand key mathematical concepts and strategies for solving AMC problems.
  • Track and assess student progress, providing feedback and motivation.
  • Foster a positive and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Math or related field (required).
  • Master's degree in Math or related field from an accredited college or university (preferred).
  • At least 1 year experience as a Math instructor or tutor, specifically in AMC tutoring (required).
  • Proven track record of developing students' knowledge and success in AMC.
  • Successful results from previous AMC tutoring.
  • Excellent professional communication skills (spoken and written).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Enthusiasm for working with students and parents.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting schedules and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and decision-making skills.
  • Highly responsive, proactive, and reliable with integrity.

Possible shifts are between M-F 3pm - 8pm and Saturday 9am - 5pm.
