Hocking Valley Community Hospital seeks an Ambulette Driver responsible for safe transportation of patients for health care services. The ideal candidate must have a High School diploma and be CPR and First-Aid certified, ensuring compliance with driving laws and hospital protocols.
This role includes maintaining the transport vehicle's cleanliness, interacting positively with passengers, and demonstrating a commitment to quality and safety in all aspects of daily operations.
The Ambulette Driver is responsible for safe non-emergency transportation of ambulatory and wheelchair passengers to and from destinations for health care related services. The driver will observe all safe driving guidelines in full compliance with all road and vehicle laws as well as the standards and protocols developed for this non-emergency service. This also involves keeping the unit in good repair with timely notification of any repairs needed. The unit will be kept clean and presented in a professional manner. Further, the driver must interact with passengers on a friendly basis. Remains calm in any unexpected emergency situation and performs CPR and/or basic first-aid as needed. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on assigned unit.
