Working hours: 10:30am - 7:00pm

POSITION SUMMARY

An Ambulette Attendant's primary function is to provide non-emergency transport via wheelchair van, independently ensuring the safe transport of individuals. This position reports directly to the Field Supervisor. The Attendant provides non-emergent medical transportation under supervision, ensuring safety and customer service during transports.

Responsibilities
  1. Operate and maintain the PTN vehicle in a safe and ready condition.
  2. Provide safe and efficient customer service during transports.
  3. Support and adhere to policies and procedures of the relevant health and transportation systems.
  4. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and document checks every shift.
  5. Practice safe patient handling and driving techniques.
  6. Use electronic devices for communication, documentation, and directions.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of driving experience.
  • Valid driver’s license meeting underwriting guidelines.
  • Current AHA CPR and basic first aid certification.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and maintain composure in stressful situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Michigan licensure.
  • Ohio Emergency Medical Technician Certification.
Working Conditions

Must be able to move between facilities, lift up to 50 lbs, tolerate working in various weather conditions, and exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, and bodily fluids.
