Job summary

Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, KS is seeking an Ambulatory LPN to support the Wound Care Center. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide nursing care in a clinic setting, under supervision, following established safety and patient-rights policies.

The role emphasizes EMR documentation, patient education, and coordination of tests and procedures, with a focus on infection control and continuous quality improvement. This is a PRN/part‑time position with on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse in Kansas (KSBN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• Clinic setting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
• Experience using an EMR system.
• Clear documentation and communication abilities.
• Adheres to infection control and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with check-in, examinations and procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments; clarify orders.
• Triage patient telephone calls and evaluate health status.
• Coordinate services: labs, imaging, home care, and admissions.
• Educate patients about medications, tests, and procedures.
• Document medical information in EMR.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and exam rooms; participate in Patient Safety Rounds.
