Job summary

Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, KS is seeking a Part-time Ambulatory LPN for ExpressCare Day shifts. You will assist with check-ins, examinations, medication administration, triage, and coordination of tests under the provider's supervision.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with KS license; BLS certification required.
• Clinic experience preferred; ability to assist exams and procedures.
• Proficient in EMR and patient education.
• Knowledge of safety rules and infection control practices.
• Strong communication and triage skills essential.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality and rights.
• Ability to coordinate lab tests, imaging and home care.
• Capable of documenting accurately in electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with checking in, examinations and procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Triage patient telephone calls and assess health status.
• Coordinate tests and services: labs, imaging, consults, admissions.
• Educate patients on medications, tests, and procedures.
• Document clinical information using EMR and other forms.
• Maintain clean exam and treatment rooms; ensure safety.
• Participate in Patient Safety Rounds.
