Job summary

University of Rochester is seeking an Ambulatory Technologist to assist providers during exams and support outpatient patient care. The role involves setting up equipment, entering patient data into the electronic medical record, and ensuring supplies are ready for procedures in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, preparing rooms, and assisting with diagnostic testing under RN oversight to promote efficient patient flow and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year experience in customer focused/service setting required
• Associate's degree preferred Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 6 months of progressively responsible professional work experience in the ambulatory clinic setting required

Responsibilities

• Under general direction from Nursing Leadership, assists providers during exams.
• Performs a variety of clinical tasks in support of patient care in out-patient clinics including a variety of technical, procedural and information systems tasks involving patient care functions affecting the comfort, care and safety of patients.
• Applies clinical knowledge while assisting provider during exam.
• Attaches patient to diagnostic and medical equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
