Job summary

University of Rochester is seeking an Ambulatory Technologist to assist providers during patient exams in outpatient clinics. You will handle diagnostic equipment, collect specimens, enter data into the EMR and help maintain a smooth, safe patient flow.

Under RN oversight, you will contribute to infection prevention, precept new staff, and support room readiness and supply management to optimize care delivery.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
• Experience assisting providers in outpatient clinics is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers during exams and anticipates needs.
• Records patient data and enters information into EMR.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are ready for procedures.
• Performs specimen collection and basic diagnostic tasks as ordered.
• Maintains infection prevention practices and supports team workflow.
