Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an experienced registered nurse for our Ambulatory Surgery Services in Florence. This PRN opportunity offers meaningful perioperative care and eligibility to participate in the State Retirement Program.

The nurse will provide patient/family centered care using the nursing process, lead team members, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support safe, efficient surgical care.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and a minimum of one year of RN experience.
• Current RN licensure by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification (or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Direct and lead other assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Deliver patient/family centered care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment with patient privacy and professional behavior.
• Participate in shared governance and ongoing professional development promoting leadership and clinical excellence.
