Job summary

The Surgical Clinic in Nashville, TN seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care in an ambulatory service center. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients before, during, and after procedures, coordinating with physicians and staff to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, administering meds, monitoring vitals, maintaining sterile technique, and educating patients and families on post-procedure

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Tennessee in good standing.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification may be required.
• Ambulatory care, outpatient, or procedural experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document findings accurately.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and addressing questions or concerns.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following safety protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, condition, and response to interventions.
• Assist with procedural or diagnostic interventions while maintaining sterile technique.
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care, medications, and follow-up.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and infection control standards.
• Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as necessary.
• Document accurately in electronic health records.
