Job summary

San Dimas Community Hospital is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse in Ambulatory Surgery to deliver direct and indirect peri-operative patient care. You will work with surgeons, anesthesiologists and OR staff to ensure safe, efficient patient flow.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS, and perioperative experience. CNOR/BSN are preferred; ACLS and PALS must be obtained within stated timeframes. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist and guide OR staff.
• Direct OR Technician and other personnel while maintaining standards.
• Collaborate with other departments for continuous patient care and flow.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
