Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Registered Nurse I (New Graduate) for the Rutledge Tower Ambulatory Surgery unit in Charleston, SC. The RN provides individualized, goal-directed nursing care within the nursing process and collaborates with the health care team to achieve desired patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN licensure by SC Board of Nursing or compact state.
• BSN preferred; if hired on/after July 1, 2013, enrolled in accredited BSN program within two years and complete within four years.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with health care team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Assist with ambulatory surgery procedures and perioperative patient care.
• Support patients and families with education and discharge planning.
