Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Ambulatory Surgical Unit (ASU) to provide high-quality pre-op and post-op care in a day-surgery setting. The role expects a RN with at least 1 year of experience, licensure in the relevant state, and BLS certification upon start or soon after.

The position is full-time with a 32-hour work week and day shifts. The RN II level indicates growing autonomy with on-the-job development, including progression after 1 year in good standing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN license; BLS cert required or within 30 days of start date.
• One year of recent RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
• Collaborate, delegate, and communicate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
• Support day-surgery pre-op/phase II post-op with call commitment.
