Job summary

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of practice required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
• Coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment.
• Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Analyze the assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues.
• Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to achieve outcomes.
• Implement the plan and coordinate care delivery to promote health and safe environment.
• Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes.
• Collaborate with patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe environment.
• Provide learning opportunities for patients and family members.
• Directly provide health information to patients, families, and the treatment team.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegate and coordinate duties of healthcare team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
