Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is hiring a Circulating Registered Nurse for the Ambulatory Surgery unit. This full-time day position offers a salary range from $36.50 to $58.40 per hour and excludes weekends/calls.

Responsibilities include coordinating preoperative care, clearing charts, and collaborating with anesthesia to ensure patient safety. Requires IL RN licensure and an associates degree or diploma in nursing.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse Licensure.
• ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire date if performing conscious sedation.

Responsibilities

• Interviews surgical patients, coordinates patient care, and clears charts for surgery.
• Develops patient care plan in preparation for surgery.
• Nursing process: Assessment, Nursing Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation.
• Collaborates with Anesthesia to clear patients for surgery.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
