WMCP WMC Physician Practices in Weirton, WV, seeks a supervisor to coordinate ambulatory office activities and staff. The role covers daily patient care coordination, service quality, and adherence to policies within a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and coordinates activities related to patient care activities within the ambulatory office.
  • Provides daily supervision to staff to ensure prompt and courteous service to patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers.
  • Monitors daily operations to help ensure adherence to documented administrative and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provides coaching and counseling to staff based upon performance management principles.
  • Identifies on-going continuing education needs of employees.
  • Keeps staff informed of processes, policies and other changes through continuous communication.
  • Gathers statistics, completes reports and performs other duties as scheduled or requested.
  • Communicates status of daily operations to Manager or Director and reports problems hindering workflow promptly.
  • Handles patient/family or staff complaints, investigates complaints and makes recommendations on resolution.
  • Coordinates resolution of problems with other departments as monitored by Manager or Director.
  • Organizes and executes daily tasks to achieve productivity, accountability and efficiency.
  • Maintains functional knowledge of operational areas and can step into staffing as needed.
  • Ensures patient satisfaction is met and reported to Manager or Director.
  • Assists with annual budget process.
  • Selects, hires, manages and evaluates employees on a continuous basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.

  2. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.

EXPERIENCE:
  1. Three (3) years of health care experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
  1. Two (2) years in a healthcare management/supervisory position.
