Job description

Job Summary

Performs specialized cleaning duties with the intent of disinfecting ambulatory healthcare facilities including restrooms, patient areas, exam rooms, procedure rooms, and specialty areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Disinfects surfaces with provided chemicals.
2. Dusts and polishes furniture and fittings, vents, window sills, and ledges.
3. Cleans reception glass and entrance windows.
4. Moves chairs/stools, waste/linen/biohazardous bins, small equipment on wheels, scales, and other items for proper cleaning. Realigns items according to recommended layout.
5. Cleans floors including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming. Performs carpet and upholstery spot cleaning.
6. Collects and disposes of trash and biohazardous waste, performing routine cleaning on containers.
7. Replenishes soap, sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, and other supplies.
8. Maintains equipment, tools, and storage areas in clean and orderly condition.
9. Works with alarm systems to arm and disarm.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
