Job summary

UK King’s Daughters is seeking a registered nurse to provide disease-specific care in a busy ambulatory setting. You’ll conduct skilled assessments, develop care plans, and support patients and families through navigation of services. The role includes IV infusions and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Required RN licensure with ACLS and BLS; 0–2 years experience in nursing or related field. BSN preferred; we offer opportunities for growth and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing; BSN preferred.
• 0-2 years of nursing experience; related education may be considered.
• Current RN license with ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN or similar) considered.
• Volunteer or internship experience not counted for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and reassesses patients using age- and culturally-appropriate criteria.
• Identifies patient needs and documents individualized care plans with the team.
• Updates plans of care; administers medications safely and documents care.
• Coordinates discharge planning and provides education to patients and families.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to improve care and outcomes.
• Maintains licensure, specialty training, and participates in development.
• Engages in performance improvement, data collection and process optimization.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
