Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide quality patient care in a Family Centered environment. This contingent position involves working 3-4 times a month, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention for pediatric patients. Applicants must be licensed in Ohio, with a Bachelor's preferred and at least 3 years of pediatric experience.
The role entails assessing patient needs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and engaging in quality improvement initiatives while providing safe care to patients and their families.
Contingent position. Typically following orientation to the clinic, it is 3-4 times a month. 8 hour day, 8a-430p.
Emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention as they assist patients and families to move rapidly, uneventfully, safely, and as effectively as possible through their episode of care. Delegates, oversees and provides quality, safe and developmentally appropriate patient care.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio, required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, required.
Three years of pediatric clinical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
OCCASIONALLY: Biohazard waste, climb stairs/ladder, color vision, driving motor vehicles (work required), additional testing may be required, electricity, fume/gases/vapors, lifting/carrying 41-60 lbs, loud noises, machinery, power tools, pushing/pulling 100 lbs or greater with assistance, pushing/pulling 61-100 lbs, seeing far/near.
FREQUENTLY: Bend/twist, blood and/or bodily fluids, chemicals/medications, communicable diseases and/or pathogens, depth perception, flexing/extending of neck, hand use: grasping, gripping, turning, patient equipment, peripheral vision, pushing/pulling 0-25 lbs, pushing/pulling 26-40 lbs, pushing/pulling 41-60 lbs, reaching above shoulder, sitting, squat/kneel.
CONTINUOUSLY: Audible speech, computer skills, decision making, hearing acuity, interpreting data, lifting/carrying 0-10 lbs, lifting/carrying 11-20 lbs, lifting/carrying 21-40 lbs, problem solving, repetitive hand/arm use, standing, walking.
