Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse to support health promotion and disease prevention during each patient’s episode of care. You will collaborate with families to move through care safely and effectively using a family-centered approach.

The role requires a pediatric background, an active RN license in the target state, and BLS certification; BSN preferred with completion within five years. This is a full-time position with day shifts.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program.
  • BSN preferred; must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio, required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, required
  • Three years of pediatric clinical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
  • Assesses individualized patient needs and plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
  • Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy compliance.
  • Works closely with providers and other team members to ensure a smooth clinic flow addressing patient/parent concerns and attaining positive patient and family outcomes.
  • Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Engages in the “workplace community” by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff.
