Qualifications

• Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current licensure to practice as RN in Rhode Island.
• Understanding of aging, development, and cultural patterns in care.

Responsibilities

• Applies the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, goals, intervention and evaluation.
• Delegates and coordinates care with licensed staff and technicians.
• Evaluates patient response to prescribed regimens and reports changes to the physician.
• Performs extended functions per Rhode Island Hospital protocols and policies.
• Collaborates with the health team to ensure continuity of care and referrals as needed.
• Provides patient and family teaching related to health management and rehab.
• Participates in quality assurance, education, and research activities.
