Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital seeks a pediatric nurse to provide family-centered care and support throughout the patient’s episode of care. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, collaboration with providers, and ensuring regulatory compliance in a fast-paced clinical environment.

The position requires RN licensure in Ohio, BLS certification, and at least three years of pediatric clinical experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience. Travel to offsite locations is required.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred; BSN must be completed within 5 years of start date.

Occasional late days until 6:30p.Job Description Summary:Emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention as they assist patients and families to move rapidly, uneventfully, safely, and as effectively as possible through their episode of care. Delegates, oversees and provides quality, safe and developmentally appropriate patient care.Job Description:Essential Functions:Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.Assesses individualized patient needs and plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy compliance.Works closely with providers and other team members to ensure a smooth clinic flow addressing patient/parent concerns and attaining positive patient and family outcomes.Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.Engages in the “workplace community” by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff.Education Requirement:Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school, required.Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred.
