Endeavor Health is seeking an Ambulatory Risk Adjustment Coding Specialist in Skokie, IL. This full-time role demands accurate ICD-10-CM coding for CMS-HCC risk scores, with collaboration among ambulatory CDS and physicians to ensure documentation sufficiency.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma (Associate degree preferred), CRC certification within 6 months, and at least 2 years in healthcare. Flexible hours, strong compliance focus, and ongoing education are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associates degree preferred.
• CRC certification within 6 months of hire.
• 2 years healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Review/abstract HCC codes to ensure accuracy and CMS-HCC score.
• Identify diagnosis and chart level impairments and improvement opportunities for provider education.
• Partner with ambulatory CDS and physicians to properly code patient charts.
• Recommend process improvements to coding goals and outcomes.
• Assist onboarding of new coding specialists as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CMS documentation requirements.
• Maintain 95% accuracy on coding quality audits
• Meet minimum productivity requirements
• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM codes and risk adjustment
• Maintain advanced knowledge of HCC diagnoses per ICD-10-CM guidelines
• Assist with special project work as assigned.
