Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a Clinic Specialty Pharmacist to support a rheumatology clinic. The role serves as a primary contact for specialty medication needs and participates in patient recruitment, counseling, and ongoing therapy management.

The pharmacist will work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate therapy, comprehensive education, and program development to promote optimal patient outcomes in a specialty clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree and KY license required.
• 1–3 years related ambulatory clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
• Specialty disease state experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Specialty Pharmacy Care Coordinators and oversee clinic operations.
• Provide initial clinical medication counseling and ongoing reassessments.
• Coordinate medication therapy management and adjust regimens to optimize outcomes.
• Refer patients to financial counseling for copay assistance when needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinic staff to ensure high-quality care.
