Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Clinical Radiology Specialist to perform radiographic procedures under physician supervision in ambulatory settings. You will acquire diagnostic images, maintain patient safety, and support overall patient flow in a fast-paced clinic.

The role requires ARRT certification and Maryland radiology licensure, with a focus on quality patient care, accurate documentation, and teamwork within the MedStar Ambulatory Services framework.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved R.T. Program required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Completion of an approved M.A. program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the achievement of department goals and adheres to policies, procedures, quality and safety standards.
• Performs x-ray imaging per orders and evaluates image quality; sends images for interpretation and repeats as needed.
• Calls in prescription refills after physician approval and supports patient examination, testing and education.
• Maintains credentials for radiography and ensures proper operation of equipment.
• Transports patients to radiographic room and prepares the room for care delivery.
• Monitors equipment, reports issues promptly, and maintains sterile, clean work areas.
• Performs annual reporting including protective device surveys and diagnostic analysis.
• Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams.
