Job summary

Providence in Anchorage, AK is seeking an Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician to support our Primary Care clinic. You will handle appointments, collect and document patient information through interviews with patients, families, caregivers, pharmacies, and providers, and assist with prior authorizations and prescription renewal coordination.

Vaccination duties may be included where in scope. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, Alaska Pharmacy Technician license on hire, and

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED.
• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience if PTCB or 2 years Pharmacy Technician experience if without National Certification.
• Within 2 years of hire: National Certified Pharmacy Technician certification.

Responsibilities

• Handle appointments and document patient information via interviews with patients, families, caregivers, pharmacies and providers.
• Provide expertise in prior authorizations and prescription renewal coordination.
• May administer vaccines when in scope for the practice site.
