Providence Physician Service Organization in Alaska is seeking an Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician to support our clinic in Eagle River.

The role handles appointments, interviews patients and families, coordinates prior authorizations and prescription renewals, and may administer vaccines where in scope.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• Upon hire: Alaska Pharmacy Technician License.
• Within 2 years of hire: National Certified Pharmacy Technician certification within 2 years of hire as applicable.
• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience if PTCB or 2 years Pharmacy Technician experience if without National Certification.

Responsibilities

• Support Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist practice thru handling appointments, gathering and documentation of patient information through interviews with patients, families, caregivers, pharmacies, and medical providers.
• Provide expertise in prior authorizations, prescription renewal coordination as applicable.
• May administer vaccines when in scope for the practice site.
