Job summary

PeaceHealth in Washington state seeks an Ambulatory Pharmacy Representative for a Per Diem/Relief, Day shift. Hours are 0715–1545; clinic is open M–F, 0730–1630. No weekends or nights.

This role coordinates scheduling, insurance verification, and pre-certification for pharmacy visits, supporting efficient department operations and patient flow. Strong multitasking and data accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in Medical Office or related customer service.
• Experience with ambulatory pharmacy services is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers/registers patients with accurate demographic and financial data.
• Receives calls related to scheduling and coordination of patients and resources.
• Collects and evaluates patient demographic, insurance, and clinical information.
• Verifies coverage and obtains prior authorizations/referrals as needed before patient arrival.
• Responds to inquiries about ambulatory pharmacy services.
• Manages daily ambulatory pharmacy service appointment schedules.
