Job summary

Providence Medical Foundation is seeking a Pharmacy Coordinator to support Ambulatory and Population Health Pharmacy teams in a hybrid Los Angeles area setting. You will review charts, extract data for reports, coordinate patient care by phone, and assist with prior authorizations under Pharmacists guidance.

Ideal candidates hold a California Pharmacy Technician License with 2 years of experience, coursework in Medical Terminology, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Description

Under direct supervision of management, this position is responsible for supporting the Ambulatory and Population Health Pharmacy teams. This pharmacy coordinator will have responsibilities that include reviewing charts to extract essential information for reports and for proper patient interactions, coordinating patient care by phone and new technologies, documenting workflows for pharmacy care gaps and patient coordination, assisting with our pharmacy student program, initiating and maintaining operational and quality reports, evaluating trends to report out to supervisors, assisting with prior authorizations, and support general pharmacy-related issue resolution under the guidance and direction of Pharmacists.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent friendly communication abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other computer-based technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Completed coursework in Medical Terminology or has working knowledge of Medical Terminology.
