Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy.
• Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• Five years pharmacy experience required OR PGY1/PGY2 residency in Pharmacy Administration.
• Knowledge of hospital computer systems and healthcare reimbursement environment.
• Strong communication, collaboration and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and manages the activities of all department employees, including hiring and training.
• Ensures staff competencies are assessed and opportunities for ongoing education are provided.
• Evaluates services and patient outcomes, updating resources to meet goals.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
• Oversees accreditation and regulatory compliance through assessments and action plans.
• Develops and maintains clinical and quality pharmacy services and programs.
• Implements processes to resolve and monitor complaints and adverse events.
• Maintains documentation and presentation of clinical interventions from stakeholders.
• Complies with HIPAA/HITECH and keeps patient and staff safe.
