Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required.
• Active Virginia Pharmacist License required.
• Minimum of three years pharmacist experience required.
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.
• Ambulatory or outpatient pharmacy leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriateness of all provider medication orders for patient safety.
• Train staff and develop training materials.
• Maintain quality assurance per departmental and legal requirements.
• Precept pharmacy students/residents in practice oversight.
• Lead system initiatives locally and at system level.
• Serve as system expert on specialized pharmacy operations (e.g., compounding, quality, safety).
• Resource staff on operational issues related to pharmacy practice.
• May perform Pharmacist-in-Charge duties when applicable.
